Best cheap phone and internet bundle

Xfinity is the cheapest provider to bundle services with. For $59/mo., you can get unlimited home phone and up to 100 Mbps in internet speed. That’s a savings of nearly half – $54/mo. It’s perfect for one or two people who like to check emails and browse the internet.

Verizon will run you about $5 more a month but offers much more speed, 300 Mbps. If you like to stream movies or game, you might want to pay the extra money for such increased speed.

Is it cheaper to bundle phone and internet?

Whether you can save money bundling a home phone and an internet plan depends on the provider. You can save from $5 to $55 a month or nothing at all; you’ll just have the convenience of one provider for two services with one bill.

You may want to consider a mobile phone plan bundled with an internet provider; you can often save much more money a month.

Our favorite internet and phone bundle plans of 2024

The best internet and phone deals offer fair prices, fast speeds and generous data caps. The three providers that offer the best value for internet and phone bundles are Xfinity, Verizon and Centurylink. Verizon generally has the best prices and fastest fiber speed on phone and internet bundles. Verizon’s plans are all fiber optic to deliver the fastest possible speeds to your home.

Verizon: 300 Mbps and home phone for $64.99/mo. For only $5/mo. more, Verizon Fios has triple the speed of Xfinity. You also get to add one international country for free to your plan (the amount you get ranges from 30 minutes per month to unlimited). You can also add 300 minutes of international calls for an extra $14.99/mo., or 500 minutes for $19.99.

Xfinity: 100 Mbps and home phone for $59.99/mo. Xfinity’s bundle includes unlimited calling to nearly half the world — one of the best international home phone plans you’ll find. You also have the option to add another 300 minutes to more countries for an extra $9.95/mo.

CenturyLink: Up to 200 Mbps and home phone for $90.00/mo. CenturyLink also offers a range of international calling options, but they’re all on the expensive side. You’ll also have to pay $15/mo. for internet equipment on most plans.

Our approach: We determine the best phone and internet providers for you

When narrowing down our list of the top internet providers, we sought to highlight providers that are available to many people in different areas. Using the most recent FCC data, we identified the top internet providers available to at least 5% of U.S. residents.

From there, we leveraged our own in-house technology to further accumulate availability, speed and pricing details and for each provider. Specific plan, pricing and service details were sourced directly from the providers, both via our professional relationships with them and their official websites.

We also sought inspiration from Reviews.com, who is owned and operated by an affiliate of Allconnect, Inc. However, Allconnect, Inc. is not involved in or responsible for the production of Reviews.com content, including rankings cited on this page.

Equipped with an accurate, up-to-date portfolio of each provider, we then carefully examined each provider’s attributes to identify a provider’s exclusive advantage over the rest. The result is our list of the best internet providers of 2022.

Things to consider

Expert tip: Go for a slightly more expensive plan for faster speeds
Although you might see some internet and phone bundles for under $50/mo., most households require far greater than 9-10 Mbps they offer. Spectrum’s 200 Mbps* internet and home phone plan for $64.98/mo. or Verizon’s 300 Mbps and home phone plan for $64.99/mo. will save you the most money in the long-run.
Pricing per month plus taxes for length of contract. Additional fees and terms may apply. Pricing varies by location and availability. All prices subject to change at any time. May or may not be available based on service address. As of 03/06/24.
