After the games, NNPC’s Olalekan Ogunleye, EVP Gas, Power & New Energy said the company will continue it’s dominance for a long time to come. “I am actually comfortable that we are going to continue to win for the foreseeable future because of our appreciation of what is wellness. We are growing our workforce with young vibrant, resourceful personnel and this will start showing in competitions in the nearest future.”

Continuing, Ogunleye, who represented the Group CEO, Mele Kolo Kyari at the closing ceremony added, “The NNPC will continue to win and dominate NOGIG in the foreseeable future. Our destiny is to win, not just in Nigeria, we want to lead Africa, we have always led Africa, we dream to be that African giant and to lead as a world giant.”

He espoused the essence of NOGIG. “The whole idea about the games is fantastic, the turnout is good, the spirit of camaraderie and unity is good. NNPC Limited will continue to dominate NOGIG.”

The chairperson of the 19th NOGIG organising committee, Dr Ifeyinwa Mojo-Eyes said, “NNPC Limited has a very huge workforce, so we ensure we all participate. We don’t have one person playing three games because the disadvantage is there.

When you have one person playing three games it tells on his or her performances. At NNPC one person one sport so as to ensure more participants. It reflects on our results.”
